I'm a huge metal gear solid fan and I can't wait for MGS4, but is MGS4 really going to move consoles? Have casual gamers ever even heard of the metal gear series? I hope MGS4 does move consoles, and maybe it will if sony advertises it correctly, but as incredible as this game will be, it doesn't seem like a big console mover. Just giving my honest opinion.

Good point Kewi, gamers just need to buy both consoles if they can afford it. This will force sony and MS to stay competetive and keep improving their products.
Of course gears 2 isn't literally the only 360 exclusive coming out this year, but it IS the only "big title". I know its just a matter of taste and opinion that I think too human and ninja gaiden 2 will suck and fable 2 will be mediocre, but do you 360 defenders really think that fable 2, or too human, or ninja gaiden 2, are going to be big sellers? Really? Fable is almost unknown to most people, the ninja gaidens have never been big sellers, and too human is too ugly and repetativ...

They had the best exclusive content in 2007, but 2008 is looking pretty weak, you have to admit. Now that Alan Wake has been pushed back, gears 2 is the only 360 exclusive I'm looking forward to this entire year. Outlook not so good.
I wish the real consoles (360 and PS3) would forget about motion control. Its just a gimmick and adds nothing to most games. My one and only problem with the PS3 is the sixaxis. Leave motion control to nintendo and just stick to making good games.

There is no way the PS3 and 360 install bases will be the same by the end of this year. I think the PS3 will eventually outsell the 360, maybe by the end of 2009, but by the end of this year? No way.
I have no interest in mass effect 2, but I really hope the PS3 starts getting some RPGs pretty quick here. The PS3 was supposed to be the RPG lovers platform, so where the hell are all the RPGs?
